Annual service tests per NFPA 1962 (hose) and NFPA 1932 (ladders). Pressure tests, certifications, retirement triggers when a piece fails.
What it does
Hose test data lives in a 3-ring binder in the chief's office. Ladder test data lives next to it. Nobody can find either binder when the section that's about to be put back in service fails.
Watchroom keeps test data next to the section it was tested on. Click the section, see its history. A failed test triggers retirement automatically — and surfaces on the next rig check so the apparatus officer knows.
How it works
Annual service test per NFPA 1962 (attack and supply hose). Per-section log: length, diameter, pressure, pass/fail. Failed sections retired.
Ground ladder annual service test per NFPA 1932. Per-ladder log: heel, base, pulley, halyard, pass/fail. Failed ladders retired.
Failed test → section/ladder marked retired → removed from apparatus assignment → surfaces on the next rig check.
